Scalloper , are you going on a guided hunt ? No sir, I have hunted a buddies ranch in TX a few times in the last 12-14 years self guided but the owner has feeders and blinds all ready to go. In the past I used my 7mmMag or a 300 wsm and they anchored the hogs but I have not used this 300 bo hardly at all. If a real large hog comes by at 75-125 yds considering the 300 and the delay in the thurmal i am not sure if I will get the accuracy and quick kills I have always had in the past using the Kill light and big gun.

Some may asked why not just go with what has worked. Well, I had this bright idea to get a surpressed AR in 300 BO with a Thurmal for mulitpul shots. But considering the hogs scatter when being shot at with a bow then I am not sure this setup will allow many accurate back up shots. So I am around $3,200 into a not so smart idea. Although the thurmal is the ticket for coyote hunting over bait here in Maine.
