Are you seeing a worse, same or better season so far?

Me....... Worse by a lot, I'm at about 25% of what has been average by this point in the past several years


What about you ?

just started yesterday but seeing lots of sign.

Way worse. Family commitments. Wettest year on record.

much slower this year. I think the coyotes have my number??…...

Better...then worse.
Started with 7 coyotes in 10 days with 12 sets. Then rifle season started and as usual, the dogs shut down. I guess they are finding plenty to eat on gut piles and unrecovered deer. They get a little spooky too with everyone shooting at them.
Back at it next week.

The snow and rain in mid west knocked back some access. .

Worse... by far!

Worst season yet.

Good start. Never had to drag out a boat.

Better, but I planned it that way. First I retired. And I have a different approach at the coyotes then last year. But, bad weather (rain and then a blizzard), and tomorrow freezing drizzle and then snow has made it tough. Access to some farms is almost impossible. I had a lot of properties lined up, but may never be able to get into all of them. But with only about 18 total days of trapping I'm already ahead of last years count.

A lot worse than last year

A lot worse for me. I made first sets on Nov 29th and had a coon and coyote right away first day. Then it rained almost 3 inches and snowed on top of that, then froze hard for a week straight. Went through a ton of dry bedding material already trying to keep sets running.
This time last year we had half of December in 50s and dry dirt. This year we didn't we even hit average temps until this week and that includes end of November too.
But carry on right? Lot of season left I can salvage yet.

Having the Best Season Ever. Lot more Competition also. Tons of Mink,Red Fox and Coyotes. Getting ready to go after the Beavers now as I am getting lots of Farmers asking me to come on over. I also haven't even hit my Best areas yet.. Mostly have been hitting the ditches,culverts and tile outlets.. I do know 1 thing, Pockets sets this year have been eating up the Mink.

Of course I posted my comment before I left for this morning's check. First farm I had a nice big Male coyote.

Waaaay worse. Coons didn't move well in the early part of November and then we got rain and snow that made things nice ans sloppy. But i aient gknna give up

A lot better this year! But I also really didn't go out much past 2 yrs just scratched the itch. All I'm missing is mink beaver and coyote then I've got them all. No fox not enough around

Well, I'm going pretty good, but my brother who is trapping on properties around me hasn't caught anything besides rats and rabbits since he started!
