I have set for the past years for Fisher in another Pa. WMA. But this season, my WMA was added to the Fisher trapping season. Now we are only allowed ONE per season, a short season Dec. 15 to Dec. 26, so most of the trappers, don't figure they will trap a Fisher. I was the same way of thinking. But low & behold the red god's smiled on me this past Wed. 12/19, with this big male Fisher, that weighed 12 lbs. 13 ozs., and I could not believe it when I saw my Fisher.

Congrats on your first one .It looks like a nice one Yes we have a short season here in PA .But it is a season we did not have 20 years ago .Along with otter and bobcat .You have a fine trophy to display if you choose to get it mounted or tanned .And it sounds like you caught it close to home Great job

Congratulations! We have very few here. I hope we have a population we can trap someday. I think they would be a lot of fun to catch.

Just north of you here in Maine. We have a two month season with a limit of ten. I've had sets out since the first of November with a goodly amount of fisher sign and have managed to collect not one. Fifty days of empty traps. Ten more to go.

Congrats! Good job! What wma u in? Not seeing many bobcats or fisher being trapped in pa this yr. 2-3" rain per week and warm weather isn't helping either.

Congrats! Actually saw your video on the YouTube.

Still hoping for a Fisher and cat myself. Have sets on locations I had tracks but this weather isn't a help. Tonight could be the best night of the season.

I’ve found that after a nasty weather front moved through....I’d catch some fisher. If the weather stayed kinda constant.....it was not good.
