Catch-22 This is directly from the government's social security website. Talks about declining fertility rates, aging population, people living longer, the need to reduce benefits and raise retirement age, etc. It's long.

Its propaganda started by the globalist. Its what they said right before they started flooding Europe with immigrants.( to save their birth rate) yea right. We don't need untold millions of Americans. Our country did just fine for 200 years with a normal population.
Our people have been around for a long time. I dont think this is the end. Its natures population control, And it will swing back the other way yet too.

Pay attention yukonjeff. Our population during our first 200 years as a nation was always growing. That's the whole point-it's not that the population needs to be a certain size, it's that population needs to keep going up. And yes, population will crash eventually, but it never goes well. Think of population crashes in the past...Bubonic plague, Spanish flu, etc. Always horrible times. But the decades after are excellent, in part because of the population growth that comes after such events.

This is really easy to understand. Think of a small town with 100 people. How will that town stay alive? People either have to move to the town (immigration) or babies need to be born at or above replacement rate. It's really not hard to figure out. It's why a lot of small towns are dying. The population is old, nobody moves to the town, no babies are being born. It happens on a national level too, it's just harder to see.

I think there has to be a better way to fuel an economy without an ever expanding population . That cant be the answer. Perhaps a decline is in order...without bringing in replacement people that don't have the same values as traditional Americans.

In opposition to America, Japan is trying to deal with the problem by relaxing its immigration laws, allowing many new immigrants from Asia and SE Asia.
