I got mine on ebay for 500. Had to do some cleaning up on it but it works well now. Sometimes you will find just the machine. I got mine complete with the table, light and motor. Keep checking ebay you will find one.

Looking for recommendations on a sewing machine for fur. My wife and I would like to start trying to make a few things but I can’t find a machine that is under $1000. Just for home use. Thanks Chris I highlighted your answer.

I wouldn't worry too much about the money, those things are a money making machine. You will have it paid off in a few hours.

Here is one that is complete. It is not a heavy duty machine but will sew most every thing needed for hats, bags, blankets, etc. and is under a grand plus shipping. I have one and use it quite a bit. I will guess that anyone that is new to this type of sewing will have a learning curve like I do on using a machine like this. I bought mine form this site.
It has saved me countless hours and made me a few bucks also. Have any questions ask. Ted

Good fur sewing machines that are in great shape are not cheap, and if your going after one make sure you can still gt parts for them.
As if you do not have background in using them your bound to break needles and worse the looper, which you cannot function without.
I have a Bonis B model found it in an industrial sewing machine store and they could not give it away fast enough, due because they felt they needed to make a house payment on it LOL, listed for 3K, I told them I would give them 2 right then, they thru in needles, upholstery thread, oil and the table it was on, quite a lucky deal for me. Almost brand new.
I did have to go to the maker for more loopers and bought extra's, best investment I ever made for my fur business.
I have paid for it many times over with just making hats, I'm sure when I get into full coats, it will do so once again.
Sorry if my opinions or replies offend you, they are not meant to !

Back when, there was a man named Fritz, who used to bring one of those machined to the NTA convention and sew fur while folks watched. Hal If I'm not mistaken Fritz was from MI and it was Furs By Fritz.. Think he may still be around? not sure? I do have big pair beaver chopper mittens he made for me. Was interesting to watch him sew and was first time I ever seen one them type machines. Mac
