I sold coyotes and coons today. Low coyote was $5 due to bad fur in the neck area. High coyotes were $40. Coons ranged from $3 to $10. They did say that yotes from now on that grade heavy could bring $60. These were all skinned and previously frozen. Not fleshed and dried. There weren't many people in line waiting to sell. Half of them had deer hides or whole, frozen coons.

I sold rats coyotes and coon to them last Friday 80 rats 30 for 5.oo each 30 for 3.50 each 12 at 2.00 each and 8 kits 1.00 each. 3.55 average. 14 coyotes 3 at 45.00 each 3 at 30.oo each 1 at 20.00 4at 10.000 and 3 at 2.00 each . 6 coon 2 at 10.00. 1 at 5 .00 1at 5.00 2at 2.00 1at 1.00. Rats were stretched. coyotes and coon were just skinned.

Last I heard they were at 4.50 3.50 and 2.50 but I haven't talked to Dan for a few months.

I would say that they treated you fairly, if those were Indiana furs? Especially on the yotes.

Sounds a little encouraging. But I'm in a whole different region so probably way different for me here.

I sold my rats to Carlson Furs (CarlsonMink) on TMan he paid me $4.50, 3.50, 2.50, 1.00 that's was about a month ago. Not sure if that's changed or the same. Had some in the carcass $2.00 on them

$2 round on the carcass is probably ok.

Why dont you ask him his prices, you live what 20 min from him?
I know what I got paid 2 cats $130avg. surprised me considering where Auction prices were for our cats

I sold another batch of fur sunday dec. 23. to groenewold. 5 coyotes 1at 75.00 1 at 30.00 1at 10.00 1at5.00 and one at 2.00. 108 muskrats.52 at 5.00. 39 at 3.50.13 at 250 4 kits at 1.00. 3 male mink at 5.00 each. and1 red fox at 10.00. all stretched and dryed except the 3 low grade coyotes.they were rubbed and the 2.oo one was a red one. all fur was caught since dec 1st. Bryce was the buyer.

I posted this once before. I really think the only thing I took a hit on was all my Beaver. If I could get a do over on it those would be in a bag on the way to nafa on the 29th. From now on. I will be shipping everything. I like the auction format and having a selling agent to represent my fur. I should have asked for more on cat and Beaver but it's done now. For what I have seen in the market and knowing how much work goes into it I think the only way to make money would be target rats. They are everywhere here.
