I was just curious as to what everyone uses for weasel bait in their boxes. I have chicken liver and some baits and lures for predators and didn't know if those would work or not.

ive had the best luck with a tub of chicken livers, with a few drops of anise in it. stir and seal the tub, and place in the fridge for a day or two.

Beaver for bait but most any meat will work. Weasel gland for lure; or any lure until you catch a weasel.

What you have will work just find.....just go do it.
If they are around it will get them curious.
And post your catch results.

I use chicken liver. I add some Sodium Benzoate and salt to keep it fresh and to help keep it from freezing. I also use Lenon's Weasel Super All Call lure and Anise/Petroleum jelly.

Liver Is a great bait. Blood Is a great actuator for weasels and liver meets those qualifications.

I believe the Weasel Box is the best mouse trap ever made... lol

Dunno if weasels make trails, but I have watched them work meadow vole trails in summer and winter.

Well just to give an update, I didn't catch anything. I was using chicken liver only, because I did not have any lure. Maybe next year. My season is over as I am back to school for another semester of learning.
