Thanks wamp. I still carry my camera but I’d have to set up the old desk top and printer to move the photos to where I can post them. One of these slow evenings I’ll do that. I’ve taken a few pics this year but not as much as I used to Looking into buying a new Sony action camera once I have the extra money. I miss making videos for YouTube.

Lucky wolverine. That chunk of fish caught those jaws just right.

The tracks followed my trail where the gulo robbed one cubby then it ran into a set that works good for bait robbers. A regular cubby with the trap behind rather than in front. Strange set until it works. Useful set for the wolverine. I dispatched it in a hurry then noticed the snare wasn’t in view.

The wolverines feet had some white toes. The other picture, also from the weekend, is of the whitest toes I’ve caught on a Marten. I see some guys getting all white feet sometimes but all my Marten have regular feet. This is only the second in my life with any sign of white on them.

3 woollies now musky.
Well it snowed and blew for about 13-14 hours (it snewed) Sunshine is back out now but my trapline and traps will all be buried. Not looking forward to being soaked all weekend breaking my trails all over again. Oh well. What can you do but get it done right? It’s usually during this windy month that I start looking forward to pulling the lines and looking for wolf tracks in the mountains. Speaking of wolf tracks......where’s Ben (Nunamiut) these days?

Seen a giant set of wolverine tracks running around my line. He was on his way to a 330 box then the tracks show he turned sideways nd hightailed it for trees. No guarantees he would’ve stuck his head in there but I know I scared it away in the dark. One of those big ones whose tracks are not really defined because of long hair. Similar to a polar bears track for those who have seen them. Hopefully he sticks around. I seen 3 sets of wolverine tracks this weekend but my trapline was out of order for the most part. I arrived at camp to a temperature of plus 3celcious. Heavy wet snow until late Saturday when the temps dropped to about -12c. Nice weather but not the best for keeping traps in working order. Picked up a few lynx and Marten and was reminded how well mink can climb trees. I had 4 hanging from box sets on trees. Last minute drive through of some Marten traps md o seen that most boxes with the opening facing down had thawed bait that fell off the screw holding it in place. Lots of snapped traps that I just ran out of time to reset. Made it home at 0530.
