You made a comparison, I made a distinction. I do the same bewteen my snowmobile, my boat and my lawn mower. It’s a pretty important distinction to make. But maybe you think they’re all toys too. Personally I’d feel pretty silly suggesting a boat in a UTV discussion, but then again I’d feel silly suggesting a car too. To each his own.

I got a 2019 ranger 900xp. It is nice but I cant believe what I paid for it. Then you have to pay extra for windshield and roof. Now that its muddy and cold fender flares are needed. It's got some serious design flaws for mud and freezing weather. I think a used small truck or jeep is a way better idea. The bed is nice for hauling tools and traps but when I shot a deer I pulled a trailer because the bed is too high to load anything heavy. Then don't even get me started on what the dealer charges for service. 115 hour.

I have a Honda Pioneer 1000, awesome machine. Have had Honda 4 wheelers and they are the toughest and hold their value better than most.

I had read an article in a farming magazine and of all the ones tested for pure utility the JD 825 and the Polaris came out on top. I run Polaris atv's with zero issues. I read on the JD forum that they replace the gas clutch with the diesel clutch on the gas machine. Makes it much quieter since the machine is not revving as high and the machine will creep along better.It just reduces top end which is OK by me. I want PURE utility and could give a hoot about top end speed.

Just spent 5 grand on a 3010 mule. Her name is Ruth. So far ok except she needs tires. Whoowee about a hundred bucks apiece. 25 mph top end is going to take some getting used to. I put a $300.00 windshield on her and I think I can make doors for her. It does well in picked corn fields and greasy mud roads.

Yep.Have a buddy that requires a UTV 90-100 days a year for clients...He had a Rhino that was breaking down all the time and was fairly new..So he trades it in for a viking and it's in worse shape than the rhino..Would not recommend to a friend..LOL

Honda pioneer 700

Honda 700 here. Couldnt be happier. I've run rangers, mules, and a kubota for work and Hands down the kubota is the most powerful. I recently got the honda and couldnt be happier. It has plenty of power and a nice ride.

I'll b that guy.. get a Suzuki samurai. Way cheaper. No trailering.
