Sell a dozen or two on the trap shed and replace them with JR's.

They are a VERY heavy trap. I have the two coil outside lam and they are plenty strong and fast. Only knock I have would be a little too heavy pan tension. I've heard guys using bow string wax for where the pan meets the jaw to help lighten it. Overall great trap

I filed mine with a slight angle. SLIGHT ANGLE! Worked well, take your time doing it until you et the feel. If you get too much, you can file back a little, or tighten the pan bolt.

Ive ran a dozen Jrs for 2 seasons now, love the trap. I'll be buying a bunch more. Zero issues after I filled the dogless a bit to get 2# pan tension. All mine a 4 coil, ol. I'll get IL/OL next to compare. The Extremes are also great but to big for my style..

Has anyone tried the filing technique on the K-9 extremes?
I use the bow wax but for resets in the field its a pain.

On the website it says $32 for 2 or 4 coil with inside and outside laminations.

A dozen 4 coil laminated is/os is $223 plus $32 shipping = $255 / 12 = $21.25 each.........
