Anybody seen this yet? I'm all confused.

I may have questions for any experts on here.

Turbo Tax

First impression was big change. After printing all the extra forms, appears they just put all the old stuff on added schedules, plus some rearrangements. Looks like I have maybe six or seven pages to cover the old two.

I believe I will figure it out.

Use the e-z form. only 2 lines...1. What did you make. 2. send it all in.

The new 1040 form is supposed to be the size of a post card.

Kind of a marketing scam. The old form is just on 5 or so schedules that are the size of post cards each.

I sure hope that those of you who have your taxes prepared by a professional firm are going to get the tax cuts you wanted because the rates to process are going to go up and for some much higher. Now you need to fill out 6 or more additional forms just to get stuff to the 1040 that used to be just entered. More forms, more work more cost. job security for a CPA or tax firm for sure.
I happen to be one of those where the changes are costing us a few dollars, maybe as much as $800 this year, but we will change our spending and buying and charitable donations to get back to where we were.

I did mine on turbo tax and am getting back half of what I did last year. However I did get $75 more per check all year long so I'm happy with the new laws.
