So I picked up a 30 acre marsh to trap. Problem is I went out this weekend to scout and set culverts with colony traps. It also buts up to a creek that is about 30 yards wide with high water 8 foot deep. I am a novice and I'll look for paths in cattails will be setting huts. However the clear ice is gone in Ohio and the marsh and creek have about 5-6 in of ice on it and there will be more after this major cold front comes in. How do I scout more efficiently. Not a afraid of hardwork but my job limits me to only trapping the weekends. So sets go out Friday night and get checked twice a day and pulled Sunday night. Thanks
