Looking at making a dirt with leaves under the deer. This is last years buck trying to finish before I get my wifes and I 18 deer back. it's got a wood top and is resected not in the pic. Making other bracket tomorrow for other deer. [Linked Image]

A good amount of Elmers glue on the base, then pour on peat moss. Let dry and vacuum up the extra. It's been a while, I can't recall off hand if it takes one layer or two. I think just one usually works fine. You can use plain dried dirt too, but peat usually works better. You can then glue down dried leaves, or better yet buy some good artificial leaves and glue them down. Real leaves won't last forever.

You got good advice from M.Magis. Use the peat with Elmers works very well.

1 part elmers glue 2 parts water stir in peat moss till it's a concensisity about like pancake batter. It's better to be too wet than too dry. I use an old electric mixer.
