Ok walked out the door this morning and this guy was sitting in my front yard. I called the national raptor rehab center that we have here and they ask me to put a blanket over him and bring him in. So I get my landing net out of my bass boat. Put on long leather gloves . Find a pet taxi to put him in. That all took 15-20 minutes. The bird had not moved. I walked up to him took several pics ,and then pick up the net. Got about 2 feet away and he hopped up and flew out of site. Never got more than 10 ft off the ground .

I always called these squirrel hawks. But we have gotten a big population of perrigen falcons here in town and was wondering if this may be one.

I can't tell size from your posted images. However, it is most probably a goshawk, but maybe a sharp-shinned or a Cooper's hawk. They all look similar, but Cooper's is intermediate in size to the larger gos and smaller sharp-shinned. Definitely not a peregrine.

Not a expert, but if you take a screenshot it might fix it. That’s what I was doing wrong

You may think before you act. The question is did you listen to your own council?

Sharp-shinned or Cooper would be my guess. I never can tell the two of them apart.

Cooper.
Sharp shinned has a darker head and not so much white Specking on the shoulders

I just wonder what was wrong with him. First glance looked like a wing . But he looked ok while flying away.

He might have temporarily stunned himself if chasing prey and ran into a window or something.
