Today was one of those trapline checks you never forget. Had a beaver in the first snare I checked and had three by the time the hottest location on the line came up. Surprisingly, there was nothing there until the last trap. It was a crossover set with a 280, a set that had taken 2 otter in the 2 previous checks. The trap was once again gone and the cable stretched off into the chocolate milk water of the slough. I grabbed the cable and it would not move. Gave it another tug and it came loose and I could feel weight on the end. I pulled it up and instead of a dark shadow there was a white glow. A white otter! Not an albino, but a big piebald male with blue eyes. I almost fell in the slough. Going to be hard to top this one.

That's a great catch.You could likely get decent money for that from a taxidermist.Or get it mounted for yourself,of course.
