I have TONS of footage of canine reaction to lure and bait from all different angles... The reaction to roll is a full commitment to working a set! At that point they like the smell so much they want to wear it (like a badge of honor!)... The key would be in trap placement, and paying attention to what animals do on the initial approach... They want to wear the lure. So if you don't put the lure on the ground whee they can't touch it...they won't roll.
