sorry if i came off rude... really wasn't meaning to be. I just gave my opinion .... rolling or rubbing is not what i want a coyote to do at my set... hard to catch them and hold them if they're rolling...

You definitely know how to catch coyotes! I use to think the same way about rolling until I started test lures and baits without traps 2 years ago. Obviously I haven't tested all the lures out there but from my experience I feel comfortable saying that most good lures out there will get a rolling response if put on top of the ground. Especially if you use too much. The one thing though is that the coyote will always put their nose right up to it and smell it before they roll.

I have 100’s to 1000’s of pictures of coyotes smelling lure. Their feet almost always fall directly behind their nose. Whether down a hole or on a flat set. I took that observation and began to crowd the hole/attractor with my traps. Catch went up. My jaws/levers whichever way I present the trap are as close as I can get.
