Most have such a horrendous trigger pull they are about useless I stood on a small bridge and tried to pop a coon at 8 feet and it was tough I would not recommend one if at all possible!

Those double barrel two shot pocket guns are really tiny. Don't hold enough rounds either. Ones ive seen don't eject to good. Be fun with cold fingers. Beretta makes one that Taurus copied to get the pt22. The berretta takes shorts only. It works for dispatch also if you can find shorts. Can find lr ammo anywhere and that short pt22 barrel they are about like shooting shorts when the shorts are fired from a rifle.

I have a north american arms 22. I only use it at very close range. It takes some practice but you can kind of figure out where it shoots. The thing I like about it is I can carry it in my pocket and I hardly know it is dead. It may take a couple shots but they end up just as dead as with any other gun.

... Can find lr ammo anywhere.... A couple years ago I thought I'd never hear those words muttered ever again.

To short a barrel , in accurate , no velocity , not enough kill power to humanely do the job, unsafe with to short barrel , to easy to get hands in front or have accident , u have to have almost right up to it to dispatch, I have a 6 1/2 barrel , I don't use cheap ammo, as far as I concerned the derringer or short barrel guns are worthless, , they can ban them, fine with me, all there good for are ppl to stick in there pockets an whatever or only good purpose is a gun collecter

coonman your only 3 feet from something in a trap. work just fine. in a fight for your life or a fight for your wifes life you might be closer than that. lets repeal law. we got plenty. time to do away with 3/4ths of them

Taurus usually copies other makers models that have become popular and sells them cheaper They change some minor thing to make it their own. The Taurus pictured above is their version of the BERETTA 21A. Also known as the "Bobcat", it's a .22 LR, they also come in .25 auto, known as the "Tomcat". The .25 not much of a cal. for anything. I carry a "Bobcat" in my shirt pocket trapping and other times. Never had a misfire or jam with CCI Mini Mags or Blazer amo. Other amo that I've tried, problems. Shoots accurate if you can hold the short barrel still. There is no extractor in the slide. Empties and slide are operated and extracted by their own back pressure. That's why you need the right amo. The flip up barrel is why I like it. Easy to unload with cold fingers. No need to remove magazine and work slide. Just flip up the barrel and drop the shell out. I sometimes flip up the barrel, lower the hammer to safe position, then lower barrel back with shell still in barrel. Can be done with gloves on and everything you do is visible. Small gun but no loss of power that I can tell. Two shells mentioned above will always go through a coyotes when shot through the lungs. I like my Beretta 21A Bobcat.
Danny, you probably know all this, just putting down what I know.
