55 Labrador marten: 28 sold and 27 unsold; average $46.21 US and top $86 US BUT almost all 2X Selects and I's of Dk and Dk Brown colours i.e. most of best, were withdrawn barring PT sales. No idea what sale top was.

I am thinking I will hold the rest of my catch in my freezer like Boco, does for this year.

Sold my Pale 2's. Pale 3 and Xpale still going for another ride. Don't pay to trap here in pale land. All I had from last year was pretty much pale and below. Somebody needs to clue the buyers in on dye. Down to 1/4 of last years harvest. Prices were reasonable. Average $65 for pales. All big selects and I's Heavy left now, still pale, xpale. Can't pay off that new sno-go with marten in the freezer gibb.

Saga seems to have figured out how to sell ranch mink. 90% clearances Males $26 to $33 averages and females $16 to $19. Good prices for 1978.
"Mink sales started with high clearance
Saga Furs March auction continued today with the selling of White and Pearl mink in addition to smaller quantities of different Cross types. The crowd of more than 450 buyers bid actively over the 800,000 mink pelts on offer today. China was the most dominant buyer with good support from the European fashion industry, Russia and South Korea.
The sales started with Pearl mink where classic type pelts in both male and female were almost 100% sold with advancing prices, while velvet types in Pearl met some resistance from the buyers. Male and female Whites in both classic and velvet types sold almost 100% with slight price increases."

I have mink that apparently will be heading into season 4! Haven't set intentionally for them in 3 years, but pick up the odd climber. Gotta be getting stale, by now.
Just doing what I want now.

I kept all my XXX-XX hvy for last couple years-shipping the rest.Dry marten keep real good in the freezer. One year a buddy got a visit from a CO.He shipped a bunch of marten with gov't stamps. We had gone to a harvest report in lieu of stamping about 4 years previous. The auction houses have\had a CO inspecting fur,and the grader said the marten were fresh. When they checked back on the old stamping records and pulled the guys harvest reports all were accounted for as held over fur.
Forget that fear of gravity-get a little savagery in your life.

Top marten was $140, don’t think any other lots were even close to that. Thanks Jor !! Getting information about the FHA sale is like looking for a needle in a haystack, tic toc tic toc the days of our lives.
