I am new to the ADC world. I am about to order some baits and lures and was wondering which are the best. I am going after coons, squirrels, armadillo, skunks, and opossum mainly. Also, can I use normal coyote bait that I use during trapping season in the summer time or do I need to change? Thanks

JMO, opinions vary greatly on the "BEST", but your ability to understand the animal you're after when it starts to cause problems on the property you are working will put more animals in a trap than the brand of bait you use. Can't speak on armadillo , but the other critters you type of are no heavy lifting around here anyway. Then again you may be dealing with critters who only hit on particular commercial brands..name of the game.

I think the sponsor of this ADC forum has a squirrel lure. Jameson might, too.

Most of these animals can be found in your garbage can. So can your baits.

I have no experience with armadillos, but remembered car bumpers attracted a good many of them in Florida.

I like the smell of the rodent bait we use, I'd eat it if I didn't know the ingredient list.

Go to WCS and look at the ADC /wildlife control baits and lures they carry. They carry baits and lures from a few of us folks that are on here that make baits and lures. That will at least give you a starting point.
