One of the big farm stores is advertising Taurus G2C 9mm with 2 12 round clips for $179.99. Seems like a heck of deal to me? Does anyone have any experience with these?

I manage a gun store and we sell a ton of the Taurus G series pistols. They aren't a Glock or a S&W M&P but they are a decent little gun for the money. Taurus also has a $30 rebate on the black and stainless/black models right now.

That's about what I figured. Still, you can't do too bad getting a new gun for under $200.

Don't have a G2 but have a 709 slim light single act. 7 shot 2 stage trigger and thumb safety and ability to lock it down with a small key don't use that but its there accuracy acceptable for a very light 3 in. barrel handgun its not recommended for full power loads(manufacturer) and lets just say trigger pull very slim chance of accidental discharge

no functioning problems but for a walk around the farm or in the woods easy to forget its even in your pocket

I have the taurus g2s and its a nice budget firearm for the price so far its worked with everything i've put through it.

Buy a Ruger, and have something that you can rely on, and that will last. American made too.

Taurus's are probably ok, but I once bought a new Taurus PT22 and that thing was the biggest piece of junk I've ever seen.
