A pipeline company has been renting 5 acres of a hay meadow by my machine shop for the last 8 months. When they get done they will plant it to anything I want. I am looking for something attractive to bothdeer and Turkey's. It needs to be low maintenance and last as long as possible as I have no equipment to maintain it. My initial thought is clover. They should be done in June . Any help is appreciated

Wild apple trees or wild blue berries. Animals love that stuff.

You may think before you act. The question is did you listen to your own council?

Sorry about the spelling in title. I have thought about a grass clover mix. It will be mowed for hay at least once a year . Any recommendations on a type of grass as I believe Turkey's do not like to walk in tall grass.

I can't really think of any grass that would be a benefit. Cerial rye may work in a mix with clovers?
swampgas chili and schmidt beer makes for a deadly combo

I'll tell you what is hot in cow graziers is Milvus clover. Good luck finding that stuff.
