That tom has two beards. I'd be going after him.

When life gets me down..... you know hunting/trapping season is closed.

I agree, Matt. Except our season hasn't started yet frown

Ours starts the 22nd. This year I bought an OTC "leftover" tag for the first season. I haven't hunted the first hunt in maybe 20 years. I quit when the DNR offered a late season tag that was valid in any unit in the state. The only exception was public land in the southern Lower Peninsula was off limits. Around home I could hunt any land. That hunt is about a month long too. This first season tag is only good for a week. I have 4 longbeards hanging around the neighborhood, so a week should be long enough.....especially since I'll have first crack at them.

Yep..What's kinda amazing to me is that I think it got like 50 below zero this witer in your part of the country if I'm not mistaken..And these birds made it..What keeps their legs from frostbite?

That Tom in the pic. is probably 23 pounds witch is good for the winter we had this year. His 2 buddies are smaller , around 19 pounds and one is missing 1 spur and the other one has both spurs torn off from breaking through the layers of ice and snow !
