I would look at Kendall's NO BS Beaver Trap also. Dogless, built like a tank and easy to set.

I have used bridger #5 LS mb750s and ts85. Pretty happy with the ts85 and plan to buy more of them.

Was the problem of beaver pullouts ever addressed? A couple years ago there were a lot of folks losing beaver. Trap at bottom of drowner slide....empty. Was a trail cam video on here that showed beaver with trap up high above ankle...next morning beaver gone.

I tried the TS-85s and I'm like ADC I hated them. It's the only beaver sized trap that I had countless sprung traps with no catch. And lots of those traps were at the end of the drowning cable sprung and empty. I don't know why that happened but I wouldn't buy any If I were you.
I own 12 MB750s and In my opinion are the only foot hold trap I would buy for serious beaver trapping.

I'd like to try them, but we can't use a trap with a jawspread greater than 8" in Wisconsin. I was using them In the Carolinas. And I forgot about the 8" rule for WI. Do yourself a favor and buy MB750s

It's just what they said. Tripped empty traps, several tripped right in their beds an never even moved (even with 4+lbs pan tension), some part way and some all the way at the bottom of the drowning rod and empty. Most of us guys don't bother to post about it anymore because we got tired of arguing with their fans but if you look up old posts on them you'll see lots of people didn't like them for the reasons mentioned above. IMO get yourself a set of one hand setters from Dave Shelton Jr. on here and buy the MB750's. Never had an issue with them, front foot, back foot, even no foot, still holds. Try that with a TS85.

I also accompanied another VERY experienced beaver trapper on his line when he first was testing these traps and he came to the same conclusion. When I am trapping damage control beaver, one miss is too many since trapping that missed beaver might take many extra trips when getting every last one is a must.

I'd like to try them, but we can't use a trap with a jawspread greater than 8" in Wisconsin. MB750 Specs Laminated 1/4" offset jaws. 7 1/16" inside jaw spread. 7 7/8" outside jaw spread Looks like you are good to go in Wisconsin!
