Finally going to get them planted. Been freezing yet and will have to watch the weather closely for a few more weeks. Beets are up but been covering them most nights. Carrots and beans going in sometime on the nest few days. Things are slow to come this spring so far.

Sometimes it is hard to tell if it is the last frost of the spring or the first frost of the fall.

Wow Snowy. Seems early for Montana. I'm still going to give it a week or two.

Good luck.

There is no advantage to planting before the soil warms, the plants wont grow, they just sit there waiting for heat. I use a soil thermometer, and dont plant til morning soil temp is 60.

Lol! It might be a little early but I'm going to get them in very shortly, I had to go fishing first. Planting in last week of May or first of June is really the best time. I have about 16 or 18 plants and I have plastic around them so they will toughen up or die.

Too early to plant them here. the first week of June is about right. When to ground is below 50 degrees, the just sit there and a frost can get them. I had a frost last night. I have about a hundred plants under lights inside that I planted the seed on 15 April, that works out about right for me.

Spring has finally sprung hear in Western New York. I'm putting in my cucumbers and peppers today after work. Can't wait for the late summers days filled with a plentiful harvest. Anyone try planting garlic this year? I put mine in Nov and its growing like crazyyyy!

I have blooms on my tomatoes, squash, zucchini and yellow, and my hot peppers. I have to check early due to the deer flies and mosquitoes wanting a piece of me. Still being cold has some advantages!.
