This time out of our home port of Morehead City on our boat. The dolphin run pretty thick this time of year. Went out last Saturday. Supposed to have been 2-4’ seas. Actual conditions were closer to 3-6’. Stopped short of our Desired destination to get some relief from the pounding seas and found a few fish. Overall we brought 6 to the boat had 3 short strikes on the planer(targeting wahoo with wire on it) and had had about a dozen fish that could t connect or just pulled the hook. Compared to the rest of the boats out that day we did good.

Fried most of it. Made fish tacos with the rest. My son had two tacos for breakfast yesterday.

Well done. A buddy of mine went out yesterday from 0400 till 2200 fishing in the stream .......... 350 gallons of fuel spent and not one. They stopped at R8 and got a few reef donkeys as a consolation prize.

Let's go Brandon

Our fuel burn was about 80 gallons. The reef donkey in the picture was full of worms. The crabs got to eat him.
