Cant discharge a firearm in town. Unless your very sneaky about it. Plus, you can only eat so much bearmeat before needing anger management.

lol I said thats what I would do. I have none in the freezer at the moment.. I was pretty sure the OP can discharge a firearm where he is, he did say he emptied his 9mm in the air.
Oh well, reach for the compound then. I tried rubber bullets a few times before on nuisance bears. The customer always loses interest in non lethal methods once the bear just gets sneakier and starts avoiding me...
How much are those bear traps Boco. I recall really expensive.

Hence the expression, "A fed Bear, is a Dead Bear"! You won't have time to handle it, might consider an electric fencer around the trash.

Buddy got a bunch from the MNR when they got out of the nuisance bear business for around $700 each I think. He does a lot of nuisance bear in several towns in the area.If I need one for a night or two he will bring one over. Yea,I guess if you can blast off a few shots in the air,you could put some thru the rib cage too.

Well I will tell you what I would do here, and no problem posting it on a forum.
1. Take picture of damaged property 2. Shoot the bear 3. field dress the bear 3. call my co, and tell him what happened, and that I wasn't going to waste the meat. 4. Fire up the meat grinder. Bad advice for here in MN. Speaking from experience. Leaving out the picture taking and the CO works way better.
