Looking though 70’s FFG’s there are many adds for traps from Cabela’s. I have never seen a Cabelas trap. We’re they in fact made for them or were they just another brand of trap?

Made in Japan most likely by the same company that made the Hudson Bay Model Perfect traps for Herters.

Cabelas traps were made in one model - double coil spring - and 2 sizes. # 2 and # 3.

The pan is ovalish and stamped Professional Animal Trap.

If you look at the bottom piece of the trap, you will see stamping. Made in Japan. Cxx. The xx being 2 numbers - like 77. The 77 being the year the trap was made.

Slightly amount of collector value.

The name Cabelas does not appear any where on the Trap.

"That long". ....... the 70s were only 40 some years ago. That is fairly recent for some of us. LOL

The first Cabelas store opened in 1961 in Nebraska.
