Got same problem on craftsman radial saw my fix was a inline 125 v fuse, can't remember now but maybe 5 amp. You could also use one of those old sockets for light bulb and use a old screw in fuse which are getting hard to find, you'll have to run it thru a plugin. Don't run a saw without a breaker of some kind, if you get hung up something else will give and it might be you. You can also get those resets from china on ebay but I didn't want to way 6-8 weeks.
Don't trust me on the amp was just giving you an idea for a fix.

All I see that you could easily hook onto are 12v. I know they was on there but don't see any other than the 2 prongs that won't work without the part they stick into. Have you jumped around it to know for sure its the rest button? Yup, I've gone through this before. The button will reset but as soon as I put much load on the saw, it pops. I have replaced it twice before and it lasts a couple years. Had I known they were going to be obsolete, I would have bought 10 of them.

resetHere is an addy you probably going to have to copy paste. This one is 5,10,15,or 20amp. I'm to take my button out and see what it looks like. I have like 20 harddrives with all I did last year that has my history on them, but finding it. I remember it was cold.

Actually, Mine might only have two poles now that I think about it. I'll have to take it out in the morning and figure it out. It's a 3hp motor so I assume it will be 20amp. Guess I could look on the motor if I can see the plate.

Do you have a shop in your area that works/repairs electric motors? They might have some spare parts laying around? I had similar problems with my table saw. General Brand. I took the overload switch off and went to the shop. He had an entire box full of different models and configurations. Non of which were the same as mine. While I was searching through the hundreds that he had there, he disassembled mine and cleaned up the connections of all the ultra fine sawdust and had it working again in 15 minutes. That was 4 years ago and still working.
Good to know about the sawdust. I'm afraid to take it apart though with no replacement I believe it's sealed.

If its in the motor the reset would still pop out when it cooled off if its any good.
I got to let this rest for awhile. Can't understand why the shortage of reset buttons. I know craftsman didn't make them.

Thanks Finster Because of you I got mine working. I can get pictures off my camera on here but it stresses me out. lol. My reset is a sealed deal all wires are solder on it, but right in the middle of the back is a small bolt(i mean small) I figured I was going to gut it so I could tell you what was inside. I turned that little nut with a pair of needle noses about 1/2 turn and I heard the reset pop out. put back together, unhooked by jumper wire with fuse that ran it a year. Turned switch on and it took off. You owe me a dollar!

Finster I have good luck getting parts like that from ereacementparts.com. Can you read the motor name plate model and serial number, voltage and Full Load Amps (FLA).
The bitterness of poor quality last a lot longer than the sweetness of low price
