Looking to get a soldering station to build custom length xlr michrophone style cables. Do any of you build your own cables and if so what soldering tool do you use. I know a standard soldering iron will suffice but looking for a station. Also any input on what bulk cable brands to look at and what ones to stay away from as well as xlr connector end brands is greatly appreciated. Dont want bottom of the barrel junk but also do not have the budget for top end professional concert level either.
