X2 ^^^^^ I've done better skinning beaver on a old kitchen table that I raised up with some blocks and a tarp strap on each end to hook to the legs , then when done skinning you can stretch the pelt right there as well. Allan

Flat table space with a wall-mount cable. Screw the cable to the wall, at the other end attach a large meat hook (or a bent nail), that way you can bury the hook in the meat when skinning the legs or tail area and pull against it to get tension. Was major improvement for my methods.

If you haven't used a trough you should try it. Lots of guys really like it. I make them from steel, but the wooden ones work good too. Mine are 20" long, swiveling, and double as an opening bench for coons as well. Me wants that attachment.

I bought one of Charles Dobbins books or DVDs on trapping beaver and learned from that and made my own. I love how well it works.
I don't watch football, so I don't know who Taylor Swift is, but he sounds fast.

I built mine on top of a swiveling barstool and love not having to walk around to the other side to complete the skinning. Did the same with the put-up table so I stand in one spot and rotate the pelt as I nail.
My fear of moving stairs is escalating!
