I’m a mb750 guy, body grips here are a pain to use do to the laws, I made a pair setters for when the beaver is in the trap and I can’t my hands positioned right to release the trap. I’ve used snares with success where I’ve had a good to set them.

Mb750s for me, my brother bought one of kendall's beaver traps at NTA. So we will see how it does for him.

No 4 or 14 jump or sleepy creek 41/2.

The old traps without an adjustable pan you can either file a miles trigger into it or do like I do and place a toothpick size twig under the pan, works for me

I prefer fairly light pan tension on beaver footholds.

By any chance had that trap had vinegar bath(s) without baking soda afterward?

That trap is a year and a half old, never been in vinegar just painted it and started catching beaver. I've got half a dozen that look like this now.

I use Jakes and MB750's. Both with rubber jaws. Nothing against the 750's but always seem to reach for the Jakes first. They will swallow a back foot and they have a lot of holding power.

I had the MB-750s, Bridger #5 long spring, and CDR7.5.

The CDR is the best of the three. Although, I have heard the springs on the MB have been beefed up and hold better now. I lost too many beaver in them when they had the weaker springs.
