This is just a preview of what is going to happen to our police forces if the democrats take over the Senate and Presidents office and keep control of the House in 2020. That ain't happening!

Terrible situation. Should have been arrests but Liberal mayor has sabotaged the police. I believe at least one situation resulted in the interruption of an arrest? Also the buckets were used against police. It was an assault against our officers. Lethal force should have been used! Now the whole city of NY is at risk because anyone who would harm you knows all they have to do is assault the police. Sad!

Another reason there shouldn't be a police union. That union has defined and affiliated law enforcement with a political party. IMO, I feel no sympathy for those cops, they made their bed and chose to walk away like sissies, when they should have enforced the law. Also, I wouldn't doubt at all that it was staged for a future gain.

NY literally just turned into a middle east war zone of you will?
Police are tied down. And the bad guys can do what ever they want.
If it's so bad that they would let this happen? Every officer in NY should quit and find another occupation! I agree, the cops should just walk out. If no rule of law, they just have a target painted on them. Give them what the lib pos's want and have a dose of anarchy, maybe it will cut down the population in that cesspool, then they may appreciate what the cops have to do!

From the video, it looks like they did quit - they're just doing so while showing up for work every day. So afraid that they will look overly aggressive that they have stopped policing. The third world populations in cities has finally turned them into the third world they were trying to get away from. I guess it's true, you can take the boy out of the third world but you can't take the third world out of the boy.

I think it was staged. Its a crime just to touch a cop. If you dont think so go find a local cop where you are and try that. Or go to brooklyn and try it. Im not buying it
Those who would give up essential liberty, to purchase a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety. Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790)

Also, I wouldn't doubt at all that it was staged for a future gain. Boy have you got this one totally wrong in all areas of your post. Not even close. This is exactly how many city leaders WANT their police to act. Anything more is too aggressive. City leaders in that city have already stated the cops in this clip did exactly what they wanted them to do. BTW, Police Unions are those cops only back getters when things go bad. Make no mistake this situation was set up by the liberal administration....not the union. Obamee started this. HIllary would have taken it to the next level. Danny: No crime (at least in this state) for touching a cop. Even full out (unprovoked) assaults don't get charged in many big cities. This clip is how all many big cities are now turning. "Seattle is burning" (on YouTube) is a great documentary showing how these city administrators think and work. The Police aren't the only ones who suffer.

Cry me a river man. Law Enforcement helped get Most of the Dems elected and then want us to feel sorry for them and it doesn't work like that. Tell me this, did the FOP support Bill Clinton, yes they did and that started a lot of this mess. Although I will say the FOP has wised up. Also, are you saying that if those cops would have arrested the water throwers they would have been fired?

Two types of arrests, Catch. (1) Put your hands behind your back. He does it. No problem. (2) a struggle starts, a mob forms and people get hurt. We see the shortened clips on the news and youtube daily. In todays society (in the larger "Progressive" towns). Arrest #2 is more common. And guess who's there to fire you, and try and charge you with a crime? Even though most all of these firings are overturned after said department/city drags their feet until the political agenda is done, it's commonplace now. Toss in a Right to Work state and nobody to get your job back.
The clip either way is embarrassing...but I know whey they let it happen. This is exactly how most of these Progressive cities want their police to act nowadays.
Locally, they tried to take away the Police force's guns. Said they could see the city with an unarmed police force. Would be better for everyone. The state had to step in and tell them Nah.

Those officers in Harlem and Brooklyn that had water on them should've arrested them immediately. What if it wasn't water then you have aggravated assault. One gang member was arrested for dumping water. https://www.foxnews.com/us/nypd-water-bucket-arrest
