If it's a big pond you can use some type of carp.Triploid grass carp (sterile) If it is a smaller pond, aquatic rakes work well. A heavy rake on a rope drag. Just rake it out in sections. 2 foot skip two feet and then two feet raked out, skip two feet and so on. Next year switch..
