What would be the best size stretcher (wire?) for coons? Trying to get some gear organized before the season.

With the price of coons id buy the cheapest used stretchers I could find

I did ok on good coon last year , u can use either wood or wire , wire ones r cheaper

A number 4 wire stretcher should work on 90 plus percent of your coon.

buy cheap used ones cut the ends on the bottom off . put 3/8 board in middle 7-3/8 wide by 16 long . tape up. pull your coons to 3x make more money than wood that don't stretch.. 130 coon last fall 78 made 3x. 17.00 avg on coon. not bad I think for cheap coon prices. makes more coon into central ...but it works for me ...

I did this with my wire stretcher. #4's always had problems with the metal hook slides slipping back up

pin or staple coon to boards no metal hooks
