If I was able, I would carry 24/7.
Carrying for protection is a passive means of self defense, just like being situationally aware... you're not going to do something unless somebody else gets stupid.

I would absolutely assume that somebody standing within 50 feet of me, waving a melee weapon to be a potential threat to my health and safety and would react accordingly if he made a wrong move.

Wasn't too long ago that a man here in Ontario was kidnapped and shot by 2 douchebags after he listed his truck for sale on Kijiji...

Before we bought here in this subdivision I made sure there were no restrictions on shooting or trapping, nearest neighbor is a mile away. I've always had a gun close and have never had to use it-----The best insurance policy is the one you never use!
