Yep, we couldn't stay away. It's BLTs and sweet corn again over here tonight. It's about the end of the season for our favorite corn here, so we're having some more.

Mmmmmmmmmmmmm!

(Hellman's mayo for now, Nessy, but I'll be checking on your Cains in Baraboo tomorrow!)

What are you all having tonight? I know it'll be great! grin

Thank you, Snowy! Yeah, go do that! Your world will be complete. laugh

Ooh, Bryce! All wonderful home raised and homemade stuff! Wonderful!

Nessy! That is beautiful! That steak is perfection. Look at that perfect placement of the sour cream on each potato. Ah, yes. Thanks for that photo!

Patrice, I thought you didn't eat corn, spuds, and all that other high carb food.

I feel so much better now. I've read the book Protein Power by the Eades. I've started working my way into their system. But, this weekend my wife and I are going up to the lake. She wants to have Italian spaghetti, 10 grain garlic bread, and Chianti. I gave in and said OK, just this once. I feel better knowing that you stray from time to time too. laugh

Most in this country have things people in other countries only dream about. Yet, they want America to be more like those other countries.

Sure I do, Trapper7! It's just that if I had my way at one point in my life, I would have eaten pasta, rice and potatoes until I dropped dead. Now when we chow down on carbs, we know we're being bad and it's a fun treat, but we get back in line again without going down that road for too long. LOVE some spaghetti! grin PILES of spaghetti! grin grin grin

Now, low carb is the lifestyle and high carb is the exception. All good!

Thats right ! Once in a while is a fun treat, then back on the road !

Remember to look into the Jerusalem Artichoke pasta - its carb and sugar properties much better than any other type ! And its so good- the best Ive ever had.

LOVE pasta and all the trimmings ! Just have to limit it grin

I don't know, Sharon. If it's that DeBoles pasta, it still has 40 grams of net carbs per serving. Is that the one or is there some other brand?

One and the same, as we discussed a while back . The advantage of that type is how it deals with glucose in the body...it metabolizes much nicer than other type pastas.

I love the taste of it too ! Why its good with only buttah mixed in grin

You and Zim have a wonderful long weekend , Chickie !
