Thanks, Sharon! I have two client projects to get out, write-ups for conference presentations I have coming up, and then ... the drilling of water chestnuts for turkey kabobs for the Trapperman Feed! After I get those kabobs ready, I'm hoping to put away some of Zim's garden produce - maybe some salsa, tomato sauce, soups - we'll see what I can pack in this week! I hope you're relaxing a bit this weekend!
That's beautiful, Hornady! Thanks for the photo! What's in those zucchini bites?
Ah, TDHP. Nothing like a good fat bomb! Funniest concept, but it works! Thanks for the photo!
I'm a huge fan of cedar plnaking, Gutthooked! That sounds great.
I'll bet it was worth it, Allan! Mmmmmm!
Thanks, Upstate! We went on a BLT and sweet corn binge for a while there. Last night, I took a couple leftover cooked ears we had in the fridge and scraped all the corn off them and made some creamed corn as a side with our shrimp and baked garlic and some sliced garden tomatoes! No photo!
Wonderful, Nessy! So, I went into Baraboo and became a Walmart shopper just to look for the Cains ... and they don't carry it! Apparently, it is in some Walmarts, but probably only on the east coast! I saw a 30oz on Amazon, but had hoped we could try a smaller one because I think one of Cains' claims to fame is no preservatives, so I thought I should go smaller so it's not around as long?
Nice, Tactical! It feels good to be putting stuff away for winter.
Oh, they do have some awesome steaks there, Turkn8trapper! If I remember correctly, you get to select one on your way in to the restaurant, don't you? I think I had supper there with some clients last fall. I picked a marbled masterpiece of a steak!
Wow, Gutthooked, you on to another fantastic meal! Man, that sounds great!

Shake & Bake pork chops, Lipton cup of onion soup potato's, fresh peaches and a salad. Hope to eat at halftime of the Penn State football game.
I got myself a seniors' GPS. Not only does it tell me how to get to my destination, it tells me why I wanted to go there.

It's tough eating gluten free another week and half to go. Doing allergy testing gotta go dairy free in a couple of weeks.

I already had a plate of tomatoes, a pepper, and some fried pork sausage for supper, but my corn is ready, so I've got a sauce pan of that cooking.

Nothing like fresh tomatoes and bacon on a toasted sandwich. Not a fan of lettuce. Love sweet corn, but my father in law's is not very good. I love a lot of the other stuff mentioned too: FRESH seafood, fried perch, venison backstraps, all Italian foods, strawberry shortcake, and cheesecake. Is it any wonder that I have diabetes?

Sounds like a nice halftime snack there, Nittany!
Thanks for the recipe Hornady. When the zucchini comes, we're always looking for more recipes. I'll bet your smoked chicken was a great meal!
Hang in there, Gutthooked! That can't be easy!
Nice, Squacks! I could go for some pork steaks right now!
I know you eat in courses like in the finest restaurants, Les. They would have a hard time matching the ambience at your establishment though! Love it!
Those scallops and shrimp are wonderful, Hornady! IS the cauliflower pureed into that sauce or are there whole pieces of cauliflower there? It sure looks great. Thanks for the photo!
Sounds great, Emma! Living through a kitchen remodel has to be a big challenge, but I'll bet the end rewards will be worth it! Good on Pete for the cooking!
Oh yeah, Fisherman. You can just dive right into the bacon and tomatoes right now and be happy. I'm envying the fresh seafood too! You can still get a lot of that in a low carb diet, and modify some of the desserts and have them too. It takes some tricks, but it sure can be done. Good luck!
Nittany, I am such a sucker for tuna casserole. It's one of those childhood things for me. Fresh peaches are wonderful too!
Well, I spent the entire day yesterday drilling water chestnuts, cutting bacon and turkey and assembling wild turkey kabobs for the Trapperman Feed coming up on Friday. Zim had cut and stacked several loads of wood (as the garden winds down and his firewood obsession kicks in). I skidded into the finish line at 5:00 p.m. and washed up an entire kitchen mess ... and then Zim and I went out for Mexican food. Too late to figure out anything for supper here! It was nice for both of us to kick back and be waited on!

Cardiologist be damned, I am making country cured ham, boiled potatoes browned in the ham juice, corn on the cob and fresh peaches.
