I've had 3 alligators as an adult. I very, very much wanted to catch one, when I was a kid, at Brookgreen Gardens, but my parents would not let me. I got yelled at for sneaking back over to the lake. I did catch some lizards there and at the Biltmore house on the way down.

As far as goosing a gator, we don't have many here in central Nebraska so I can't say what I would do.
I HAVE, in the past, (when I could still run), chased down badgers, and kicked them in the butt to get them to turn and face me. Give them a little 'love tap' flat across the face with a spade and they give up the ghost.
Used to catch snapping turtles by the tail and take them home in a gunny sack. Some mighty fine eating right there.
Yeah, I might goose a gator, just so I could say I did.

I'd rather goose a gator than risk that, lol.
