I know everything says bobcat "meat" when talking about bait, has anyone every used the entire carcass? I'm not saying using the guts and all just a chunks of bone with meat on it so it goes farther instead of the few ounces of meat that comes from a cat.

Ya can't miss fur if yur traps are out somewhere.
Or so I've been told.

sounds & looks good. Just trying to find different ways to extend the amount of animal use once I have trapped it.
And it will help me with the one I have from last year. Thanks

I cut all the meat off our cats, then cut it in chunks. Some I freeze fresh and some sits for a few days then gets froze. Unfortunately can only use it when we have a cold streak, ants take over if it’s warm. Save paws from coyotes and the cats as well...read that on here somewhere and decided to try it. Caught a coyote and two nights later a cat on the same set and hole and coyote paw, just had to dig out a little dirt from the first catch.
Actual bobcat meat and quail remains produced quite well for me.

Alot of old lure bases call for whole carcasses ground or chopped up, not just Bobcats. The smell is different than just meat only.

Let me sugar coat this

Learn to retrieve the glands, bladder and urine. You should find instructions in the archives.Don't throw out the liver. It is good, mixed in with the meat or as a separate,bait/lure.I taint it for a week or two.The meat, for me,takes much longer. It is a dry, mild meat.I learned that from Red Mt.Thanks Red.
