Best ways to not catch them were mentioned above; first catch a bunch and knock down the local population, then make sets slightly away from cover. My local skunk population has declined over the years, hardly catch them anymore. Wish we had more of them. Eh...wot?

I was thrilled when the owner gave me permission to several places he owned, hundreds of acres... After a week of coming home smelling like a skunk everyday I pulled my traps.
