The Rifleman is my favorite old western series.

The Anvil Chorus is a warning of what happens when you let the government take your guns and take over your protection, rather than protecting yourself.

If young people watched shows like this today, we would have a much kinder, respectful, responsible, self reliant and firearm friendly society.

Would still be able to buy the cap gun with the little flip up device on the triggerguard so you could rapid fire like that. Hard to believe Chuck Connors was gay.

Matt Dillon was another tv hero I liked

Why do you think Chuck Connors was gay? He was married to women 3 times and had 4 children. I never heard anyone say he was gay before.

I'm not buying it. I did a google search too and your link was the only one I found that claimed he was gay. All the others said no or that they didn't think so.

Eh...wot?

I just searched it too. It appears to be a totally fallacious rumor.

There was a guy that was making replicas of The Riflemens rifle but he died in a car accident. Anyone know where one can be bought or have made?

Watch every Saturday morning still!

That rifle is a Win . model 92 in 44-40 ,Same as the one that is in Wanted Dead or Alive just was cut down. Rossi make a rifle like the Win, I have one in the 357mag. made by Rossi. Could check with Henry arms to see if they have one also..Since they are make rifles that Rossi stop maken . Just did not change the lever to the big loop. It is a rifle of not of that time that was to be take place at. Chuck Conner's was able to make that rifle flip with 2 rifles I seen on a site. He had to practice alot to do it. All I can say is that what ones personnel life is no ones concern, I watch the Rifleman on Me TV .also other old westerns. I also do not think he was gay.Someone had to make some things up to get notice.

I always thought he was branded unfairly as a coward, don't remember him being branded as gay, lol.

Grew up watching with my dad and now I watch with my young sons on the weekends. The man was an athlete for those that didn’t know. Played professional baseball and basketball.
