Warriors post this weekend inspired me! Just wondering what everyone did today. I worked on a irrigation nightmare. 12” to 10” then to 8” plus the well hookup. Glad it’s done. 2 more to go!

I answered emails for half a day, then I took my son to a doctors appointment. It went well.

Looks like a good job you did there. Keep up the good work

Today, I set 744 quail eggs and around 30 chicken eggs. I pulled and froze some quail eggs that were just finishing hatching. I wheelbarrowed and dumped manure. I made 2 quarts of bread and butter pickles that are mostly onion, 3 pears and 2 small cucumbers that grew from a cucumber, that I threw out as compost in the Spring.

Lots of little things but a highlight of the day my youngest helped me fix his grandma's car. Had to replace the driver door window chase because the bracket was snapped. Before I started that she told me her wouldn't start. Every cable was loose as a goose and the intake box wasn't secured. She and her husband are driving to see his parents tomorrow.

Started off getting my thumb snapped in a NO B S 1.5. That was amusing can't wait to get them in the ground. Don't suspect any pullouts after what it did to me. Then worked on a deer feeder I need to get hung and running this weekend. Finished changing the fuel pump on the 87 Toyota 4x4 I won 2 holloweens ago. She's good as new and ready for the season.

Took a boat and pontoon off a lake today. Normally this is a piece of cake but not so much today with 30 mph winds with gusts up to 50. Not my boats or would have waited for better weather. Older couple and it just had to be done today.....

Bolted up flanged pipe, mostly 6” on some H2S gas busters, replaced manway hatch gaskets on a chemical tank. Got a couple 500 barrel tanks ready for valves and plumbing. Nothing exciting

Started out (yesterday) hauling a load of 3 inch base rock to a company called old castle. They are expanding their staging area and the rock is for a road. Spent the rest of the day hauling dirt to them. Good black KS top soil. Its run through a machine that grinds clods and removes any rocks bigger than sand. They mix cattle manure that has composted for a couple years into it. Then its dried and bagged. Sold at Walmart, Lowes, Home Depot and others. Some is just called topsoil and some potting soil. They ship out well over a hundred tons a day of bagged dirt. This plant also does peat moss and mulch but dirt is the money maker.

I sell the eggs that did not hatch wholesale for 10 cents each, to my main buyer, who resales them and retail, for 20 cents each, to people who feed the quail eggs to reptiles. I have a $20.00 minimum purchase. It beats just dumping them on my egg dump.

You're welcome. There was at least one company selling frash, cleaned eggs for feeding ovivorous reptiles. I think I was the first to think of selling incubated eggs that did not hatch to feed ovivorous reptiles. Reptile prefer a stinkier egg.

Golfed 18 holes. Stabilized 2 gallons of bobcat meat for bait. Cleaned up 100 lbs. of onions for storage. I was a productive little bogger!

Fixed knitting machines at work then came home and got some creek chubs for walleye fishing Friday. Also, got my old outboard motor out that hasn't been ran in 3 years and tinkered with that till it purred like a kitten. Now relaxing drinking a beer and watching the outdoor channel. Also, 4 coiled some Briders which took a whole 10 minutes.

Lets see...
I polished the trigger and hammer on my AR to get rid of a horrible creep.
Test drove my 1950 Chevrolet truck to check out my new brakes.
Shot a man in Reno, just to watch him die. He was an imbalanced used car salesman, oblivious to the importance of showing respect to potential customers and their family members. smile

Wife lost her uncle so we went to his funeral. Vietnam veteran great guy and true Patriot. Got home and worked on more underground irrigation pipe. Spent an hour in the trap shed replacing unreadable trap tags with some new brass tags from a Larry Finch. Good day

Waded through crotch deep snow trying to track down some elk in the Colorado mountains. Never did see them but pushed them around to everyone else. Maybe tomorrow will be my day.

Very nice krispcritter. I farmed some pivot tracts so the manure truck drivers wouldn’t complain about them, worked on more irrigation underground pipe, and slipped up to the new trap room and did some wiring. Good day

Worked on more irrigation jobs and watched my older three boys win a district football game

Finish corn harvest in the snow. First grain corn field I have got to help on and the last. Great to have it done, and a good day to stay in the cab. Cold and windy.

Forgot about this one! I’ve been going in circles (literally) all week putting anhydrous on corn pivots. Can’t wait to get off this thing tomorrow. What’s everyone else been up to?

Spent way too much time yesterday putting a crank sensor in the hunting vehicle. Someone with hands a lot smaller than my big mits put the original in.
Relaxing therapy afterwards finishing up a dozen marten boxes.

Yes on the no GPS and no on the NO cab! Lol... Reminds me of a story Dad tells.

After a long day in the harvest field in the late 70's. My Dads younger brother was complaining about the AC in the 750 MF combine. Dad told him he had it great because the one he started on had a water cooler that only worked half the time. My grandfather Piped up and told them both how bad he had it with no cab or even a shade on the Oliver he used to cut wheat with in the 40's. Without hesitation Gramps my GGF got up. As he was about to the door. He turned around and said. "Goodnight boys..... I walked behind a D*** mule".
