Yes your fur sold thru the saga facility to saga client buyers at the FHA Helsinki sale. It might be different with Nafa selling with saga, maybe saga will use their automated grading machines for your fur.

I think everyone is missing the point here. Let's see. So NAFA (who owes a lot of trappers money for sold fur and has trapper product in house unsold fur on consignment) mentions WILD FUR in their letter. SAGA who doesn't have a stake in or care about wild fur and is holding all the financial cards doesn't mention wild fur in their letter. So as a business person who has had this attempted on me what I read is. From NAFA- It's gonna be alright folks cause we are now shored up by SAGA. Actual meaning from NAFA. You suckers hold your breath till WE can liquidate and get the heck out of Dodge and leave you all high and dry and keep the money. NAFA thinking - I hope they go for this screw job and don't wise up and put leans on us and take leagal action and get whichever Canadian agency that deals with business fraud involved. SAGA saying and thinking - Yay we win!!! Either way and WE don't have a dog in the hunt if this goes south for NAFA if they have legal trouble with all the folks they are indebted to.

What why does saga have so much money???
Finnish ranches govt subsidized? So the “CoOp” doesn’t have to do the bank roll.

YES The right- wing Progress Party is in favour of removing the subsidies for fur farming and in favour of stricter regulations. In 2015 part of the subsidies were in fact removed by the minister of agriculture from the Progress Party. Lot of their fur comes from Norway; subsidized.

May not mean a thing but our Ky cats that’s always sold as centrals for the last 30 years at NAFA sold , and I use that term loosely, as southerns at the Helsinki sale. All it means is that cats across the board have been getting weaker every year. The only cats that are good now are the mountain types, and selective demand there. Grading always get tougher when the market weakens. FHA pulled out of the SAGA agreement because they couldn't make any money doing it anymore, as the cats and marten have become cheaper, the cost of doing the sale was getting in their pocket too much. As we all know, the last sale was poor at best. They feel they can do at least that good or better in North Bay. This coming from Mark Downey last week. When I ask him if we can handle the volume this year, he said"we are working on that"!

That could explain there (saga) cash position. But they know the current market condition and the predicament borrowing to ranches caused Nafa so I have trouble grasping why they would step in. Is this a one year agreement? Or don’t they like money?

Maybe the answer lies with why NAFA bought ALC.

Mink coats are not in style now, but buyers keep buying up cheap ranch mink. Can someone tell me why?

They don't make high-end mink coats. They make head bands, doll dresses, and trinkets. Per square inch, mink is relatively cheap. Not cotton fabric cheap, but less than other materials that it now substitutes.
Just doing what I want now.
