I have a few security cameras around the place and this intruder was on camera. I'm not a whitetail hunter and haven't hunted them a few times through the years. So, could someone tell me what he would score roughly. Young Deer. No mass to his circumferences, G-2s and G-3 tines don't go 10", brows less than 6" main beams short, no more than 22" inside spread looks average, no more than 17" Not enough inches for 160" gross, let alone net. 135" tops and that's giving it extreme benefit of the doubt. Nice potential though for greatness in 3 more years. Let him grow up. w

I have to disagree. Looks to be at least 4 years old. Montana buck gonna weigh somewhere in the 200 to 250 pound range. This photo makes it look like his neck isn't straight with his shoulders but it is the way he is standing. Looking closely I can see the waddle and the brow tines. Looks to have pretty even . He as 18" or better inside and his sweep and body size make for long beams. He isn't huge but has good mass and tine length for a 10 point. I'd sy above 150 no problem.

No game cameras can be used in MT. I have security cameras at the ranch to thieves and trespassers. I have them in buildings and some at entrance ways to my place. I get a lot of pictures of trespassers. I have mentioned that many times and no baiting or any electronic devices can be used for hunting.

So, you never ordered those wild game innovation cams you mentioned on October 13?

Thanks everyone, I have no idea on how to score but a guess. I don't hunt them but a few times in my 50 years of hunting. As far as scoring goes I will hunt a deer that impresses me more then what it scores. If I hunt and see a wide, dark heavy horned deer or elk I hunt them regardless of the score. This year I took a muley that wouldn't score for beans but I like him for is width, height and color.

Look again at the length of that left beam, the right is probably about the same. 4-5 year old deer 160 all day maybe gross 170. Huge buck anywhere. Here's a pic of a 161 gross I shot, and the deer in the pic is at least this big maybe bigger.

I’d stick him. Send him to Northern Michigan he’d have 50 arrows in him by 9am before he ever measured 90”
Thought I was a good trapper until I started trapping coyotes...... Thought I was a good bowhunter until I targeted mature bucks....

Nope,
He's a pencil beamed 3 year old with a lot of potential but doesn't have the goods for a 160".
I've actually killed a NET 160" 5/8th typical in Alberta that is in the B&C Whitetail record book shot near the Beaver River below Cold Lake so I'm aware of what it takes to get to 160".
Snowy's trespasser buck doesn't have the goods.
two or three more years maybe but not this year.

Thanks for all the expert scoring. Always amazes me how you guys can score them. LOL I just have a hard time judging them in the field. I went and sat tonight nothing but a few does but a beautiful night. If I get some more pictures of him I will post them and might have a better shot of his horns.

Looks as though the right brow tine is split.

Those are some great bucks! Wow!
Ambush >> tonight when I walked out there was a guy from MI that was hunting below me. He said he is here for 4 days and hopes to get a good one. I wished him well and hope he gets what he came for. He was a nice young man.
BB >> I most likely won't shot him but I have a couple of guys that might. I will defiantly get a score and some pictures. Beautiful bucks you shot.
