What it is: I may see a new, five page thread. I click to open that thread. Boosh! I'm wondering what I'm reading, because I'm halfway down page three!

Any thread I open can be absolutely random in how it responds. In fact, I'd say threads that open on a random post within are more usual that seeing the first post.

And, yes ~ obviously ~ I'm a registered member, and signed in when this is happening.

Any input, please?

I have no idea why it happens.

If I see a thread with more than one page and I have not looked at it before I click on the number one to the right instead of the actual title.

I think that the cookies stored on your computer take you to the first post that was made on the thread, after you were last on Trapperman, unless you select a specific page, on multiple page posts.

FWIW: I've found that if you're on page 2 or wherever on a forum, then click on another forum, it will come up on that same page #.

Thanks, all! Keith seems to have been on the right track? I remembered the old mantra about " Clear Cookies and Cache ".

Just deleted my Tman cookie. Logged back in. I've hit several, multi page threads, on more than one forum. First post, every time!

Give that a try, Cotton. And ye'll know what to advise anyone else who mentions this problem

What I do is tap/ click on trapper talk to get a current view of what is happening. I hope this helps.

It doesn't hurt to delete your cookies every couple of weeks. It may speed up your computer a teeny bit.
