Dear James,
Gun owners have asked for it, and now it’s happening -- a chance to peaceably assemble in Washington DC to speak up for the Second Amendment.
And this rally comes at a critical time. Radical anti-gunners like Robert Francis O’Rourke are calling for confiscation of your AR-15s.
That’s why it’s important that gun owners send a strong message to officials in DC.

In fact, GOA’s Senior Vice President Erich Pratt will be speaking at this event.
So please come out November 2nd at 12:30pm at the U.S. Capitol.
This rally is not sponsored or organized by GOA. So for more information please visit 2ndamendmentrally.com.
In Liberty,
Jordan Stein
Director of Communications

Just got the above from GOA. I'm wondering if NRA members have received word yet.

Got the same message, Jim. No word from the NRA.

Why would the NRA send out a letter in support of GOA, as they are a competitor, and were exposing Wayne LaPierre for the gun grabbing fraud he is. That is a rhetorical question, bu the reality is, the NRA would be thrilled if GOA had a problem in DC.

I would that people would examine the facts. The NRA with Donald Trump and a Republican Congress, accomplished nothing for gun owners in giving back your rights. I will call attention again to Gov., Kristi Noem of South Dakota, who not only restored gun rights in Constitutional carry without one incident in her Republican state, but she has been promoting trapping in a half a million dollar bounty paid for predators of nesting birds, which was a complete success.

You gave the NRA your money, and you had the power, and Sec. Mnuchin banned affordable Russian firearms twice, bump stocks were banned, and repressing devices were targeted. GOA has been an honest voice for gun owners. Ask yourself why the NRA has got you nothing in millions of your dollars, and the establishment GOP which tells you one thing and gives you gun confiscation instead.

With the background checks as thorough as they are now, the promised open carry by candidate Trump should be a reality, and with that kind of thorough check, major parts of the 1968 Gun Control Act should be removed, starting with the return of being able to order firearms through the mail and delivered to your door, as Sears Roebuck used to do not that long ago.

The NRA members are wonderful people. Those in charge of the NRA are nothing but a lobbyists for the gun manufacturers to keep a monopoly on high priced goods.

The GOA organization is not "hosting the party". It is another second Amendment group that organized it. The GOA is just supporting their efforts.

Star flakes, that letter I got says the November 2 rally is not sponsored by GOA. NRA should be announcing it too.

Pike River, if you're going I commend you. The national museums are worth seeing, but I'd skip the museum of art. You're only likely to get peed off at how are tax dollars are spent.

Every 5 years or so I make my way to the Art Institute of Chicago and most of the time when I find myself in NYC I make my way to the Met.

I really want to check out the Library of Congress.

The Washington Monument just recently re-opened after renovations. It is the tallest structure in the city and you can take an elevator up to the top and get a nice view of everything. I was in DC several years ago when the monument was closed. I think it would definitely be worth checking out.

You may need to book it ahead of time. It's not unusual to have to wait in a long line to get to the top of the large fence post.
