Wanted a recommendation on what AR 15 I should purchase. I just want to get one because the Dems are attempting to ban them. I know they are not cheap in price but it probably will just sit in my gun safe.

For a budget AR15 get a PSA "freedom rifle" kit for just under $300 shipped and buy a stripped lower for $50 local and put it together in 20 mins . Lifetime warranty and runs like a champ for under $400.

If you want one just to have one don’t get too worried and go pick up a Palmetto, DPMS, ruger, or M&P, etc they will do just fine. This is especially true if you like to tinker like changing stocks, grips, triggers, charging handles. Building is the best bang for your buck and it’s easy, it’s like legos for big boys. Everything is standardized with ar15. If you are a discerning individual and want fit/finish the options are limitless, spend some time looking for one that looks cool and comfortable and from a reputable company(bravo company, Daniel defense, larue) and you’re good to go.
