Very nice, looks to me that there may have been a fence stapled to the tree . Possibly a corner, a long time ago. amazing how trees can have their , own character. old243

Nice! Cool pic!
I had a tree on the river I always looked at when checking traps. I called it "Twin Oaks". Very large tree and about 3' up it branched into two main beams. Each beam would have a branch at the same height and direction as the other. All the way up, as far as you looked the beams were a carbon copy of each other. It got washed in during a flood in 2010. I have looked for it down stream but haven't found it, yet. lol

In some of my old trapline notes it says " Twin Oaks Corner: 1 1/2 coil = 3
160 cubby = 2
280 bev runs = 2 " etc.
