He will live. Not right to judge people though. Do you know the wound is from an arrow? Do know if the shot was deflected or not if it was an arrow?

Could it be a wound from fighting? Not much blood, id imagine it thinks its a tick bite.
Help yourself.

One of my target bucks in Ohio got shot from some idiot. Date and time are not right.Allso have pics of a guy tracking it.Why would you put an arrow anywhere but in the lungs? Agreed.. That's one big broadhead hole that doesn't bleed out.

Just one of the bucks I would love to get a shot at.I have trailcam pics of some I`m holding out for.I have no problem with someone killing them other than me,I just hate to see people not prattice or take bad shots. I am sure the hunter that made the poor shot for whatever reason feels pretty bad too, could have been a twig deflect that can happen to the best hunter.
you're only allowed so many sunrises... I aim to see every one of them!

Back in 81 or 82 I had a buck just about sit down on his butt at the release, the arrow hit the dirt just in front of his neck/shoulder. Weird stuff happens.
Not as bad as I could be, not as good as I should be.
